FAREWELL TO FR. TERRY DIAS

As announced last weekend, Fr. Terry will be leaving St. Joseph Parish at the end of June to take over as chaplain at Credit Valley Hospital.  We wish to thank Fr. Terry for his time here with us at the Parish, especially for his passion and enthusiasm in preaching the Gospel.  The official farewell reception will be held on Sunday, June 30^th, following the   12:30 pm Mass.  Please join us in saying goodbye and wishing him well in his new ministry

BIBLE CAMP 2013

Once again this year, we will have Bible Camp in July.  The camp is open to kids aged 4 to 12 and is comprised of two separate weeks.  Week One runs July 15 – 19 and the Week Two runs from July 22 – 26.  The camp will take place daily from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon. Snacks and all materials for the camp will be provided. ST. JOSEPH CWL ACHIEVEMENT AWARD!

St. Joseph Parish CWL received an award from National for being active in the parish for the past 55 years. Thank you to all the ladies who have given their time to their faith and community over the years.  We also received an award for increase in membership.  I hope many women in our Parish will consider joining our council.  We would welcome even one hour a month.  Membership fee: $25/year.   Those willing and able, call: Mel at 647-926-0833

Totus Tuus Summer Camp for children and youth is returning to St. Joseph Parish the week of 

July 7 – 12.  Join us for this exciting week and share in the Good News of our Lord through catechetical instruction, Mass, confession, songs, games and more! The groupings will be:

►Grades 1-6 on July 8-12 (Mon. to Fri.) 9 am – 2:30 pm

Cost is $65.00 for week for this age group (day fee).

►Grades 7-12 on July 7-11 (Sun. to Thurs.) 7 pm – 9 pm

Cost is $45.00 for week for this age group (evening fee)

CORPUS CHRISTI PROCESSION – JUNE 2, 2013

On June 2, 2013, immediately following the 12:30 pm Mass, we will have this Eucharistic procession to St. Joseph Elementary School (on Church St., Streetsville) where the Blessed Sacrament will be exposed for adoration for the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, followed by Benediction. Refreshments and seating will be available in the school gym.  There will be shuttles for anyone needing a ride for the return trip.

M.S.  SOCIETY: CARNATIONS FOR MOMS

This Mother’s Day Weekend (May 11/12, 2013), MS Society members will be in the lobby of the church selling carnations to honour our moms.  All proceeds will go to the MS Society to fund programs and assistive devices for people living with MS in Mississauga.

YEAR OF FAITH REFLECTIONS SERIES

Next month’s talk will be held Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at 7:30 pm in the Parish Hall. The session we focus on the section of The Apostles’ Creed, “…He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty.    Everyone is welcome to join us.
